Hamming Code

In order to detect errors in data, some mathematics is used to add extra bits to the data packet.

These are called error bits. They can even be used to fix the problem if it is not too severe.

Hamming Code is one of the mathematical methods used to detect and fix errors in data.

Hamming codes can detect and correct single-bit errors, and can detect (but not correct) double-bit errors.
