Related to 'bias and information'.

A 'fact' is a statement that can be verified as being objectively true.

For example: There are 1000 metres in a Kilometer.

This cannot be disputed as there is an international standard defining this.

The opposite of 'fact' is 'opinion' which is the belief of one or more people that a statement is true, but it cannot be proven.

For example: 'Choirs make the best music'
