A very popular spreadsheet application owned by Microsoft.

It is capable of handling more than a million rows of data per worksheet and more than 16 thousand columns per worksheet.

It has a built-in scripting language called VBA to let you automate some tasks. It has hundreds of built in functions to let you carry out common tasks.

It also has a good charting capabability to let you visualise data with a large number of graph styles.

You can also use it to try out different scenarios (what-ifs) on the data by using 'goal seek' to find a solution.
