Control Program

A control program is software which schedules and supervises the execution of instructions for a control process.

Quite often the control program is placed into a computer control unit. For example, a CAD CNC machine would have a control program to ensure that the instructions to cut out a shape were carried out in the correct order and for the correct length of time.
