Circuit Switching

This is a method of transmitting data and communicating, usually via the telephone system.

A dedicated connection or path is set up and the digital data is sent in one continuous stream of bits. This means that unlike packet switching, all of the data arrives in the correct order and does not need to be reassembled or does not have to wait for missing packets to arrive.

With this method, bandwidth is guaranteed.
