Buzzer

An output device

A buzzer is a sound device often used to signal the start or end of something.

It can be controlled from a computer through a hardware interface that converts a digital computer signal into a signal that can drive the buzzer.

A buzzer is also an example of a 'transducer'. A transducer is a physical device that converts one form of energy into another - in this case a buzzer converts electrical energy into acoustic / sound energy.
